Tour Our Practice
The doctors and staff of Mount Vernon Veterinary Hospital feel justifiably proud of the facility and grounds. We invite you to take a pictoral tour of our hospital here, and also in person if you have the time. Please give us a call to schedule an appointment to tour the “real world" MVVH at your convenience.
Reception
Our reception area is large, comfortable and reflects our appreciation of plants and wood – what else would you expect in the Pacific Northwest?
Of course, you can never be quite sure of who you might find waiting for their appointment.
We lovingly refer to the area our receptionists work as “The Pod." The heart of the practice, this area hums with computers, calculators, pagers, telephones and even a monitor for viewing in-house patients in their stalls.
Small Animal Exam Room
Our exam room is warm yet efficient for examining your cats and dogs.
Upstairs
Just up the stairs is a conference room, space for the doctors to use for phone consultations and paperwork, and office space for other administrative personnel.
There is even a separate suite for technicians and doctors who may need a place to rest overnight when 24-hour monitoring of hospital patients is necessary.
Treatment
The spacious treatment area provides stocks to safely secure patients and bright lighting to assist the doctors in diagnosing and treating your horses.
The in-house lab includes a wide array of equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.
Our facility includes comfortable stalls for horses that need to spend some time with us. In good weather, the half-doors leading to the outside can be opened to let in fresh air and sunshine.
The acreage surrounding the hospital provides ample room for parking and unloading. Behind the hospital is our mare motel, round pen and moveable pens to allow horses some time on the grass outside.
We will be updating and expanding the photo section of the hospital in the near future. Please stop back by for a visit.
